Congratulations to the Vocal Ensemble for earning a Superior rating at OMEA District Contest on Friday March 8th!
This rating qualifies them for the state-level contest! That event takes place on Friday, April 19th at Gahanna Lincoln High School!
clippers’ national anthem

This past May, vocalists from Whetstone’s choirs performed the National Anthem for some of Columbus’s finest at the Columbus Clippers game in Huntington Park
Vocal Music Director
Mr. Guesman attended THE Ohio State University to earn his Bachelor of Music in Music Education. He began his career in Columbus City Schools at Buckeye Middle School in 2021 and then joined the staff here at Whetstone in 2024. He teaches Vocal Ensemble, Mixed Choir, and Music Survey classes. Mr. Guesman works with WAPA (Whetstone Academy of Performing Arts) in numerous ways; Marching Band, Spring Musical, etc. What Mr. Guesman loves most about WHS are the opportunities available for all students, which creates a strong and thoughtful community of learners
